Use Mastercam for 3, 4, 5 axis mill programming in prototype environment - 3D programming intensive.Responsible for job processing, including processing work thru CNC lathe department, EDM department and mill department. Also heavily involved with fixture design and build for each job.

Responsible for using CAD/CAM software to produce programs for numerically controlled machines in the machine shop and fabrication department.Go over both existing and new jobs to determine most efficient work routings and machine shop set ups, and implement changes as needed.Work closely and consistently with machinists to make process changes as part of continuous improvement, including but not limited to major programming overhauls and improved tooling selections.During my time at Harsco I was responsible for programming 13 CNC machines, including 3 axis VMCs, 4 axis VMCs, HMCs, as well as 2 and 3 axis lathes.Programming controls such as various iterations of Acramatic controls, Fanuc 4t, Fanuc 5t and 31i controls, Mazatrol T1 and Mitsubishi Meldas.Programmed exclusively with Mastercam during my time there, and also became proficient in developing basic Mastercam post processors in that time. Completed coursework through In-House Solutions for basic post processing.

Responsible for quoting all work for CNC department, including any additional tooling or processing costs involved with each job.In addition to utilizing CAD and CAM software to program CNC mills and lathes, also responsible for complete set up of jobs, inspection of parts and machine operation.Utilize computer aided design software in conjunction with CNC machines and manual mills and lathes to produce prototype parts and fixtures for numerous local and global industries.

Set up and operate horizontal CNC boring mills to produce various gear housings in accordance with both customer scheduling promises and strict standards of quality.Recognize and edit occasional programming issues.Perform multiple fixture, program and tool changeovers per shift as schedule dictates.

Set up and operate heavy cutting machinery and CNC equipment such as lathes, shapers, and hobs to fill part quota, as needed, in adherence to strict timelines and rigid standards of quality.Detect machine inconsistencies and specification issues and allocate properly to ensure repairs happen in a timely manner while always maintaining quality standards.
