Over a 30 year career I've been a director, producer, exec producer and very reluctant sound recordist and cameraman.I produced the Really Wild Show in Bristol. Created a slate of award-winning kids shows in Glasgow including Raven. Then returned to Bristol and spent 3 years filming gorillas, elephants and many other animals as Series Producer and director. I invented the format for Springwatch, produced ratings Blockbuster Big Cat Week for BBC1 and then set up Indie Maramedia with my partner Jackie Savery in 2010. Produced Hebrides, Highlands, Wild Way of the Vikings and many other shows narrated by Ewan McGregor. Won best series Panda award for Hebrides. Joined Keo North as Creative Director in 2014 then re-established Maramedia as a leading Scottish Indie again in 2016. Created shows for PBSNature, ORF, Arte, Sky, Love Nature, Terra Mater, CBeebies and Channel 4. I love finding new ways of doing things, telling inspiring stories and collaborating with partners across the world.
