We also provide training to VicRoads and related areas on the design, construction, maintenance and operation of bridges and road structures.I represent VicRoads on the Austroads Bridge Task Force and I am project managing two Austroads projects (1. Standardisation of Bridge Barrier Designs and 2. Specification and Use of Geopolymer Concrete in the Manufacture of Structural Concrete and Non-Structural Components).I represent Austroads on the Standards Australia committee BD-090 for AS5100 - Bridge Design Code and CE-018 - Piling Code. I also chair the working group reviewing Parts 1, 2 & 7 of AS5100.
Team Leader Project Delivery
I managed a team that delivered maintenance, construction and improvement projects for roads and bridges within South Western Victoria. I managed large scale projects including the Midland Highway Duplication and Breakwater Road Bridge Project which included development aspects such as planning approvals and delivery such as contract management and construction.
Senior Delivery Engineer
I managed the routine, periodic and rehabilitation maintenance of the West Gate Bridge and approximately 600 bridges and road structures in the North West of Melbourne. I managed the structural review of the West Gate Bridge and initial planning for the eventual strengtheing project. I received the Kerry Burke Memorial Scholarship and undertook an international study tour investigating the management of iconic bridges.
