Guiding the business through the depths of the GFC while preserving the viability of an extensive development portfolio and entrenched stakeholder perspectives called for strong but considered leadership. As the development landscape improved through latter years, I am proud to have chartered and implemented a new vision for the business which translated to a dynamic team leading a suite of new projects which consistently delivered healthy shareholder returns.During this period I invested a significant amount of personal time to championing industry leadership roles including but not limited to the Property Council of New Zealand (Corporate leader, Auckland Executive and Residential Development Council), Auckland Urban Design Panel (foundation member for the Super City) and the Green Building Council. Through these roles I have been exposed to numerous meetings with both central and local government elected members, agencies, staff and media, advising on best practice and draft policy change for the property industry.
