During my high school years, I was partaking in an FAA AMT program, where I learned how to do mechanical drawings, think critically, and manage my time while working with many different groups of people after every ~40-day rotations. Although this program was not for me due to my greater interest in research and development, I decided to use the skills and lessons that I gained from my teachers to reach my goal of becoming an engineer.In college, I am studying to become a Mechanical Engineer while being part of the robotics club. The knowledge and experience I gain from being in the robotics club are irreplaceable, as encountering challenges and difficulties demand creativity and teamwork. The Vex competition forces teams to bring out the best in designing and driving the robots, leadership, organizing, programming, information gathering, and, most importantly, being team players. My passion for robotics led me to attain a leadership position as the treasurer so I could secure resources and help those that once were in my shoes as a new member to be passionate about the club.
