Smartrac has an annual turnover of >€250M with manufacturing centres in the USA, Germany, China, Thailand and Malaysia employing approximately 3500 personnel worldwide. Responsibilities: Member of the Management Board and legal Director A with group P&L responsibility. Providing leadership across the organization focused on driving operational performance up and costs down. Strong interaction to the majority shareholder (JPMorgan). Functional responsibilities include, Regional Manufacturing Operations, Purchasing and Supply Chain, Engineering, Asset Management, Process & Product Development and Quality Management.

Primary business: Smart Card (Finance, Mobile, Government Identity and Transport) Manufacture and Personalization. Global responsibility for Operations reporting to CEO. Oberthur had in 2012 an annual turnover of >€800M with 11 manufacturing Centres and card processing operations at >35 locations in Europe, United States, South America, Africa, China and Asia Pacific employing >3500 personnel worldwide. Responsibilities include: Definition and direction of global operational strategy, budget (Capex & Operational), resource management, security, cost reduction programs, global footprint extension (via acquisition / outsourcing / JV’s & Partnerships) and when required, consolidation and provision of sales / business development support.

Card Systems Division: Primary business: Smart Card Manufacture and Personalization. Responsible for the direction of all Northern European manufacturing and processing operations in UK, Hungary, Russia, Sweden and the Netherlands. Responsibilities include: Definition and direction of operational strategy, budget (Capex & Operational), resource management, security, cost reduction programs, European footprint extension (via acquisition / outsourcing / JV’s & Partnerships) and provision of sales / business development support.
