The Student Success Coordinator role collaborates with the Assistant Superintendent of Student Success to orchestrate and deliver teacher and administration training for the district's community, parents, and staff. While working in collaboration with administrators to provide appropriate services for disruptive/harmful behaviors in schools.This Position works closely with school administrators, school counselors, and teachers in developing strategies to address issues surrounding unhealthy behaviors. As the department coordinator I facilitate the revision, and distribution of the state and district Student Code of Conduct, monitors the implementation of the state and district Student Code of Conduct, and monitors the implementation of the state, district, and campus-level discipline procedures and student due-process procedures.As a coordinator, I review, process, and approve all discipline placements at the Discipline Alternative Education Program (DAEP) and expulsions to the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program (JJAEP). I also train, assist, and monitor compliance with TEC Chapter 37: Law and Order, the district Student Code of Conduct, and Spring ISD discipline-related procedures and policies.

The Coordinator for Behavior and Restorative Practices reports directly to the Officer of StudentAffairs. The coordinator will act as an advocate and provide direct services, resources and support within Spring ISD. This position will oversee the district RTI Behavior Specialists.While supporting and working indirectly with Campus Counselors, Student Support Specialist, and academic administrators to support services to district educational teams in restorative practices & multi-tiered system of supports. The coordinator collaborates with public and private agencies to offer behavioral mental health services and programs that foster pro-social skills and appropriate, and collaborates with behavior specialists and provides support in the development of behavior support plans.

The Mental Health Coordinator acts as an advocate and provide direct services, resources and support within Spring ISD. This position will work closely with district Behavior Specialists, campus counselors, Community Youth Services (CYS), RtI Behavior Specialists (BSP) and academic administrators to support services to district educational teams. The Coordinator collaborates with public and private agencies to offer mental health services and programs that foster pro-social skills and appropriate behavior; acts as a resource to Local Education Agency (LEA) staff members regarding mental health services.

Provides a range of direct psychological services to youth adjudicated delinquent of felony offenses and committed to the agency by a juvenile court. Conducts trauma informed groups, individual, family, trauma, and crisis counseling sessions; and administers and interprets psychological evaluations of youth at risk of suicide or in need of specialized treatment services. Assists in monitoring the agency’s Texas Model of Trauma Informed Corrections treatment program, and reviews and monitors specialized treatment programs. Assists with related in-service training for facility staff.
