- Project Manager for ‘HOPE’, Europe’s largest marine environment conference (2-day event, with 450 attendees including 15 environment ministers and 3 MEPs, managing a budget of €150,000. See: http://ec.europa.eu/environment/marine/hope-conference)- Led the development of an EU-wide 30% reduction target for marine litter (potential to save >€150m p.a. across Europe in clean-up and associated costs)- Policy coordinator for DG Environment on offshore energy, seabed mining, aquaculture, blue biotechnology and the European Maritime & Fisheries Fund (c.€6.4bn)- Recruited directly for the position following intensive work on 2014-2020 environment policy programme with this team during Irish EU presidency (see below)

- Part of a 7-member team responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of the Irish presidency agenda in the field of environment policy- Regularly participated in legislative negotiations (i.e. 'COREPER', trilogues, working parties), including as chairperson- Frequently prepared briefing material for Ambassador/Minister and participated in relevant oral briefings- Developed policy expertise in carbon emissions trading, regulation of the chemical sector and EU environment funding for the period 2014-2020 (c.€3 billion)- Widespread engagement with European Parliament, Commission officials, representatives of Member States, industry and civil society

- Gathering intelligence and analysing developments in EU health and environment policy, in order to provide strategic advice to clients including some of the world’s largest chemical, pharmaceutical and motor companies- Identifying future opportunities and challenges on the regulatory horizon, and acting as a liaison between clients, policymakers and other relevant stakeholders- Participating in the management of a European-level trade association active in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector (combined turnover of members >€30 billion)

- Project manager for a visual communications project currently on display in the Council buildings. This involved securing buy-in and cooperation from senior management and direct liaison with over 100 staff from across all departments- Contributing to the Council’s internal communication strategy and campaigns, including the development of a new intranet portal- Writing and editing news material for the Council’s intranet and internal magazine (audience of c.4000 staff)
