During 21/23 I was the lead-lecturer for Investigations & Intelligence, concentrating on complex crime; at the University of E. London for the B.Sc. Professional Policing (College of Policing).In 2020 I taught Strategic Planning & Change Management in Jordan; and when at home I assisted on Train the Trainer courses for service leavers delivered by GGL Training Ltd. An expert in intelligence: priorities, gathering, collation, analysis, products; and its training. Working in the Middle East; Metropolitan (LE & CT), Northumbria (LE & CT) & West Midlands (CT only) UK Police Forces; the private sector, and African policing.In 2018-19 I was a national IT trainer on the replacement project for the national CT Intelligence system. Prior to that, I was a Strategic Intelligence Adviser in the United Arab Emirates; to advise, train & assist police officers to implement the iconic UK National Intelligence Model (NIM). NIM is an integrated, effective and efficient, intelligence-led business model for law enforcement. It empowers senior leaders to bring about strategic change in the areas of Prevention, Intelligence & Enforcement. I wrote the NIM Implementation Strategy, conducted the Training Needs’ Analysis, designed the curriculum; & wrote and delivered various courses. I advised the UAE Lead on the strategic planning & change management required for this project. With the Intelligence Lead in their Federal Intelligence Department I wrote their first national Strategic Assessment for law-enforcement. Before the UAE, I advised Zambia on forming, recruiting & training a national transport police.As a Detective Chief Inspector I was Head of Special Branch (HSB). SB deal with national security, proliferation, terrorism, subversion, extremism & other intelligence matters on behalf of UK policing. This included inland covert & overt work; border security at major sea and airports, general aviation & maritime, & whole border security. Also protection of our critical national infrastructure.I was the Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) of various reactive & proactive sensitive investigations. This covered terrorism, paedophilia, drugs, corruption & other organised crime groups; including long term undercover operations.I was the secretary to the chairman (Bob Quick) of the U.K. Association of Chief Police Officers' vehicle crime advisory group. I initiated & chaired Number 2 Region Vehicle Intelligence Group. In these roles, I worked on government policy matters, national strategies; & tactical implementation.
