Working alongside Babcock on the Faraday project I helped redesign the future of the Royal Navy's training. I developed classroom problem and competency based training activities for the engineering disciplines that are required for today’s technicians.Working closely with Navy subject matter experts I was responsible for:Designing classroom activity-based lessons using Defence System Approach to Training (DSAT) methodology Creating media scopes and initial design concepts for simulationsOverseeing the media requirements for the modules that were being worked on by a team of 20+ training designersBriefing the Media Dept on the way simulations would be used within the training activities and developing the initial concept designsSecurity cleared (SC Clearance).

Working within the ERM Academy I was responsible for introducing best practices and processes in the creation of high quality engaging e-learning courses and performance support content for a wide range of business requirements.• Introduced best practice processes in iterative e-learning design and development• Designed and built bespoke, highly professional, company branded template types in Articulate Storyline. These contained interactive page types, the use of audio and video as well as knowledge check questions.• Engaged with SMEs, worldwide, to gather information and produce technically accurate, instructionally sound and cost effective storyboards.• Designed and built a range of e-learning courses which were integrated into the Cornerstone LMS. These ranged from knowledge based transfer to technical training.• Responsible for maintaining a highly engaging on-boarding portal which was built using HTML and CSS on a Microsoft Sharepoint platform• Other responsibilities included maintaining legacy e-learning materials, service desk support (error diagnosis and fixing), video and audio editing as well as a variety of other multimedia related tasks.

I helped pioneered Elektas in-house e-Learning capability by producing processes, documents, templates and building a two hour blended pilot course to support a new residential course.Designed, built & deployed the course utilising Captivate, and delivered via Absorbs LMSLessons included a large amount of interaction as well as animations, video & audioHand coded a manifest file for the SCORM packagedSetup and implemented a version controlled environment (Tortoise SVN)Developed a mobile app that inspired Elekta into new ways of thinking about delivering training.

Working closely with the project manager as a team and technical leader I helped produce two very successful and profitable e-learning projects for the Ministry of Defence.Hired, trained and led a team of 12 junior content developersThe course was built using bespoke Flash templates driven by XML and was delivered via Moodle’s LMSMedia assets included photographs, Flash and 3D animationsIt involved liaised regularly with the end client and remote developersSecurity cleared (SC Clearance).

I designed and built websites as a freelancer.

As a digital media developer I worked closely with instructional designers and subject matter experts to create blended training solutions for the military. I was involved in project coordination, costing, creating quality procedures, dealing closely with the end client whilst managing junior developers.Security cleared (SC Clearance).

I was contracted to produce e-Learning for the training department. The main projects I worked on was technical training on the Hawk Fighter Aircraft for the Indian Air-force. This involved a two screen deployment and was distributed over an internal network.I was also heavily involved in producing static and animated 3D components of the Type 45 destroyer for the Navy. This training was used to familiarise the crew members with equipment found on board. Students could dismantle and assemble the various components in a virtual environment.Security cleared (SC Clearance).
