Contracted to Nationwide as Senior IT Project Manager in September 2008. With a budget of circa £3.5M the Project was part of the overall £40M Portman Merger programme delivering £90M of savings for Nationwide, managing the delivery of 3rd Party Bank inbound Payments system changes, encompassing multiple work streams under fixed timescales driven by commercial requirements. All work streams delivered January 1st 2009 as expected. Managing a virtual team of 60 full/part time staff and outsourcing partners. Accountable for all aspects of delivery, implementation planning, project planning, stakeholder reviews, and budgetary updates From March 2009, moved onto managing a Small Change Project, delivering Mortgage system changes with tight timescales. The Project was set up to facilitate delivery of small business enhancements needed to retain market share in challenging market conditions. Delivering changes within an aggregated release window across multiple Mortgage systems including Online Bank, the Project delivered its first release in July 2009 as planned. Currently working towards a second release in November 2009.

Contracted to Xansa/Steria as Senior IT Project Manager in June 2007. Managed the delivery of a new Contact Centre environment for 500 staff in Hamburg as Lead Project Manager with overall responsibility for IT. Produced stage 1 and 2 estimates within Budget allocation (2007/8 £3m) covering both Data and Telephony, and managed throughout Project lifecycle to completion on time/budget.Involved in all aspects of procurement via formal Request for Quotation process and subsequent 3rd Party supplier management. Developed and managed Project plans from initial draft to baseline through consultation with the larger Project team and 3rd Parties. Managed a Team of 10 direct reports and 30 indirect reports. Responsible for monitoring time booking, expenses and travel arrangements.Managed the delivery of Aspect Conversations 6 Outbound Diallers into Hamburg (Germany) and Zaragoza (Spain). Managed budgets allocated (2007 £1.5M) to completion 11 weeks earlier than target and within allocated budget.

Contracted to Barclaycard UK Cards Change Delivery as Senior Project Manager in July 2006. Managed the delivery of virtualisation of voice services to Barclaycard Sales and Service Contact Centres, involving Technology refresh (CCMA,CCMS,Call Pilot and Genesys) and the installation of an IP-VPN carrying Voice and attached Data. Managed the Technology refresh at a Barclaycard Collections Call Centre (Meridian switch, CCMA,CCMS, Verint). Responsible for liaison with Business areas, agreeing/supporting the Change Agenda. Managed Project budget (2007 £6M), RAF, Drawdown and associated Work orders and 3rd Party suppliers, driving delivery to time, cost and quality. Produced and maintained Project plans, Business case, Implementation and Training plans, and regular Project Board updates

Contracted to BT as a Senior Project Manager in March 2005. Deployed a Managed LAN service into 175 of Barclays larger sites. Budget circa £3M in 2005/6. Responsible for configuration build, ordering and supporting 3rd Party installation and go-live of Cisco managed environments. Verification of proposed LAN infrastructure design and input to scheduling of migrations. Responsible for Stock control and logistics. Provided both Remote and On-site support for migrations as required, evenings and weekends. 3rd Party supplier management – Data Contractors and Cisco reseller. Responsible for internal notification and handover into BAU, ensuring BT management systems are updatedWorked within WAN technology (MPLS deployment) Project with direct responsibility for successful migration of Barclays most complex sites, included entire Barclaycard estate. Planned migrations, producing Site Migration plans/documentation and agreeing /supporting migration dates with Client representatives via on site meetings and audio-conferencing Production of handover documentation and gaining sign off. Responsible for Risk approach, documentation and Risk assessment for entire Project lifecycle and production of Project Migration Manuals.

Worked within a major Infrastructure Renewal Programme to deliver Managed LAN and Category 6 structured cabling. This element of the Programme was out-sourced to IBM, delivered Cisco Managed LAN and Cat 6 specification cabling works to sites within an aggressive timescale, in order to meet equipment deployment deadlines and Barclays’ requirements – Budget in 2003/4 circa £7M (Total 43000 Ports across 2515 LAN switches in 1621 sites in 2003/4). Worked cross functionally both within Barclays and 3rd Party Suppliers – managing BT Global Services, 4 regional Data Contractors and Security Companies with ultimate accountability to Barclays Senior Management and Stakeholders. Proposed and documented a revised migration approach (discussed and agreed with BT Global Services, Cabling Contractors and Systems Integrators) which delivered external cost savings in excess of £342k. Produced and maintained Cost models for cost comparison/value based management purposes. Delivered other potential cost savings of £147k through applying common-sense approach to change requirements/monitoring of cost. Managed a direct team of people, assigning tasks and priorities, Performance Development assessment and coaching. Devised and implemented Capacity planning of WAN bandwidth demand, resulting in circa 1400 site upgrades. Gained sanction/budget from senior management/stakeholders and managed ordering/progress processes to completion. Consultant to other Projects in respect of end to end Technical Architecture of new systems and applications Designed, ordered and built Test & Build infrastructure environments at Barclays, IBM and Getronics sites. Managed the installation and build/roll out of 500+ PC’s to 20+ sites on behalf of Business Banking. Completed on schedule and within budget.
