Divisional Chief ExecutiveTt Electronics Plc 2006 - 2008Electrical Products Division, £180m T/O, 2000 employees, • Led the Electrical Products Division to become the best performing division, achieving sales and profits growth of 36% and 55% respectively between 2005 and 2008 and generating almost 50% of the Groups total profit in 2008.• Following TTE’s unsuccessful attempts to sell its AEI Compounds business in Gravesend, obtained Board approval to relocate operations to enable the sale. Identified a low cost site in Sandwich and secured Government grant, successfully moved the business to enable its sale for £8m. • Established 2 new manufacturing facilities in Mexico, which doubled sales from £27.6m to £46.9m within 3 years making it the most profitable business within the Group. • Drove the sale of 4 non-core businesses and achieved aggregate proceeds of £23m, keeping the management teams motivated and focused while under the threat of closure -
Divisional DirectorTt Electronics Plc 2004 - 2005European Components & Power Systems Division, £123m T/O, 1475 employees • Devised and commenced execution of a robust strategic plan to merge the European Components businesses into a single coordinated entity through the consolidation of the European warehouses, refocusing sales efforts towards “embedded technology”, and streamlining of the UK manufacturing operations. • Led the successful merger of Dale Power Solutions plc and Erskine Systems Ltd, removing a layer of management and reducing costs by £0.75m, increasing profitability by £1m. • Returned AB Automotive Electronics to profitability through cost reduction, strong management and margin improvement.• Introduced new management to the poor performing Welwyn Components’ business, drove two major rationalisation programmes and transferred labour intensive production to China and India, strengthening the business to become one of the most profitable in the Group. • Developed Ottomotores from a business primarily focused on the Mexican market generating £2m profit pa to a business with a growing international presence with profits of £6m pa. -
