My current role as an APS5 Team Lead at the Australian Bureau of Statistics has provided me with experience working within an agile environment, developing new procedures and mentoring a small dedicated team of website migration officers which has required exceptional time-management and organisational skills as well as being detail oriented to meet quality assurance standards. The ability to utilise effective communication and a genuine care for the wellbeing of others can also be displayed in my current role.Prior to this engagement I was employed as a Customer Service Representative servicing customer requirements within the print industry for thirteen years. I enjoyed a variety of competing tasks ranging from print estimating and processing orders to managing complex mail-out campaigns. Frequently liaising with a diverse range of clients, inter-departmental staff and suppliers required sound communication skills, good time management and successfully carrying out administrative duties with accuracy and with consideration for cause and effect at all times. Subsequently, I am very adept at working within a pressured environment where excellent organisational skills, multi-tasking, attention to detail, prioritising, actively participating in a team culture and a dedication to meet challenges `head on’ have proven necessary in successful project management and consistent service delivery. It was whilst working for Bartercard that I acquired first-hand experience in fostering good relations with small to medium business owners involving objection handling and raising awareness of new initiatives and trading opportunities within the commercial membership base via face to face service visits and frequent quality contact.I believe I can bring the right blend of interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills and IT knowledge that are required to succeed in your organisation, plus I am a fast learner.
