Based on 33 years experience of working for Blue Circle and Lafarge, I also have extensive knowledge of establishing and running JV's (ready mix concrete, fly ash), strategic analysis and cement marketing and product development involving sustainable solutions

Responsible for the development of sourcing and trading opportunities for cementitious materials (slag, fly ash, slice fume) focussing on Europe and The Middle East together with providing technical and sourcing support for colleagues in the USA and Far East. My experience of developing businesses based on fly ash led to close involvement with Lafarge technical centres and business units in terms of ash sourcing, ash processing and blending technologies

Development of sustainable solutions with countries within the Lafarge portfolio. This included inter alia: product development; partnerships with power stations and steel plants; acting as internal consultant for fly ash processing and blending technologies including carbon removal

Development of rescue package for timber business; development of medium to long term strategy for cement investment to match growing demand
