Nigel Cushion BSc (Hons), FRSA, specialises in leadership development and performance improvement.He currently works primarily as a mentor to leaders. Also works as a speaker, consultant, board adviser and chair. In his spare time he is an investor, author, amateur military historian, and adventurer.Nigel has over forty years experience as a leader in business and in the voluntary sector, through Scouting and sport. In his early career he worked at KPMG, then later held various senior board roles, including chair, in nine businesses, in manufacturing, retail and services. He is the former runner-up in the Sunday Times NED of the year in the UK, and his work has been highlighted as best practice by HM Treasury, Bank of England, and the Institute of Directors. Nigel was a re-founding leadership fellow at Windsor Castle, and has been guest faculty at the University of Oxford. Nigel works around the world, and lives in Norfolk England. He is the founder of social impact, peer-mentoring business Nelsonspirit, and is the founder of Nelsonspirit Future Leaders, a philanthropic initiative investing in young people, to help them grow as leaders.
