I’ve spent over 26 years in the construction industry, working in all aspects of quantity surveying, both as a contractor and professional quantity surveyor. Much of my time has been spent building the family firm, Emmitt Consultants, which I now own.Emmitt Consultants is a mid-sized quantity surveying firm based in Auckland, New Zealand. Originally Anderson Hill & Emmitt, we have been in business since 1970 and have built a strong positive reputation as quantity surveyors within the residential and commercial sectors.Over the years, we’ve worked on projects ranging from private residential homes to $100m hotel developments. We have processed projects throughout New Zealand, and regularly work in the Pacific Islands and Australia. As the Director and owner of Emmitt Consultants, I combine both client work with managing and growing the company.Client time is primarily spent on large commercial projects, including supermarkets and hospitals, churches, museums and schools.
