Working for one of the first Enhanced Service Providers (ESP) in the Oman market, I was responsible for the complete scope of the Technology function in this start up environment. I defined the organisation, technology strategy, high level architecture, IT Infrastructure Service Management layer and OSS and BSS layers. I performed the initial license analysis issued by the local regulator (TRA) and was instrumntal in regulatory discussions. I also led the technical negotiations with the MNO’s and have been leading the due diligence work with potential MVNE partners. I have also initiated a project to look at BPL feasibility for the Oman market including a full business case, opportunity assessment, products and services definition including converged services with the ESP. I have more recently pioneered the development of a business case for ISP for the Oman market on a resale basis (VISP) and have completed the regulatory application for licensing of this service as a class 2 reseller which has just been approved.In addition to my role as CTO I was also responsible for all HR issues and business planning covering all aspects of the business including Brand, Marketing, Product Development, Sales & Distribution and Customer Service. I had a hands on role in shaping the strategy in each of these areas and ensuring plans were in place to co-ordinate activities between these teams across the business. I regularly deputised for the CEO in his absence and was heavily involved in the shareholder relationship and associated board meetings.

After various Orange / FT re-organistions I decided to take some time out in France where I had an old property to renovate.  This was completed after a little over a year but I stayed in france and started a renovation company to enable me to help other ex pats looking for relocation support ( translation / planning processes and renovation ).
