No one is good at everything, but having worked within the plastics industry for the past 28 years, I have met, recruited or worked with a number of different people who are great within their chosen fields.My passion for the plastic industry began at a very early age. Making Airfix models then progressing to making scratch models at the age of 13, winning competition’s and getting the chance of meeting a person who would open my eyes to the manufacturing industry, which is plastics. Upon leaving school I won an apprenticeship with a 1st Tier supplier and gained the position very quickly to become the Chief Design Engineer, working on exterior moulded trim, extrusion and rubber moulding. I wanted to learn more so took a step backwards into a Contract Toolmakers as a Tool Designers. Getting back in with a consumer product supplier I was able to gain the role of Manufacturing Manager, responsible for the project management of new tooling, production related issues and machine maintenance. A wider world was waiting for me so I won the role of Hot Runner Project Engineer, solving customer tooling problems and project managing the solutions. This now brings me to where I am today. My passion for the plastics industry is still as strong as it was in my early years. My need to help people and the problems they face, whether in manufacturing, design or development is a key part of my makeup. I see my job as not just as a Recruiter, but as a problem solver, a Consultant. I like to project manage a solution to your needs, having worked in the industry, designed the products, equipment and used the machines to make the parts, I have seen most of the problems you would encounter. This is why I am best set to offer you that solution to your needs.
