I’ve recently replaced our Siemens Hipath telephone system with a cloud-based one (yay.com). I also replaced our server-based email system with the Microsoft 365 service. Historically I also introduced office networking to the company soon after I joined and replaced the factory floor Novell network to consolidate them into one structure. I provide IT support for the company employees and all the hardware. 💻 CAD / CAM PCB Engineer Using software called VisualCam I work with the customer’s designs, checking for manufacturing issues and reporting back with any proposals. After transferring the information over to the sales team in order to produce a successful quote, I convert the data for the factory to work with to make the PCB. I create contact photo data and develop these, create drill, rout and test programs to use as the board progresses around the factory. Working closely with each department addressing any issues that might occur and keeping the customer up to date. I’m also trained to work with the CAM drilling machines as and when required to aid factory production.💻 Website AdministratorI’ve designed and maintained the company’s website initially with Dreamweaver and more recently with WordPress and the relevant add-ons and systems. I work with SEO requirements to promote it fully to internet search engines including Google and Bing. I also run and answer the integrated online chat running on the site answering questions and queries from any visitors. 💻 Social Media promoterUsing YouTube, LinkedIn, X, and Mailchimp I prompt the companies' services. I’ve scripted, filmed and edited video’s shown on our YouTube channel and regularly produce PCB articles to be posted on LinkedIn, X and emailed via Mailchimp to new and existing customers. Show less
