About Nigel Maxwell
I am a double Masters degree educated, and highly motivated individual with a total of 31 years’ experience in the detailed design and delivery of complex projects within the Telecoms sector. My significant understanding of the BT platform architecture combined with my proven track record in both Service design and Systems design & estimation brings a unique blend of both Design and Delivery experience to Driving of Results for my customers. I have several years’ experience of leading teams as a Team Leader / Technical Project Manager in both a Line management and a Matrix management capacity. My external project management qualifications, such as Prince 2 Practitioner, along with my practical experience in the Agile and Proof Driven Delivery techniques which are used within BT, reinforce my ability to walk into any new Project and to be effective from Day 1 is a given. I am recognised for my ability to complete project deliverables in challenging timescales.I am a Christian and a member of the BT Christian Association. I also spend my spare time keeping fit and taking part in physical challenges, with a few examples being the 200-length BT Swimathon, the Three Peaks Challenge, the 4-day Nijmegen Marches with BT Telfort, a 2000-mile round-Britain cycling expedition, and 2001 London Marathon. Historically I have played a role as a selection assessor for judging hundreds of young people on introduction weekends for Raleigh International over a ten-year period.

Former Lead Designer For Product/Services (Ip Vpn) In Bt Global Services
CurrentThe Concept to Market (C2M) Solution Design team is responsible for creating product solutions that span all aspects of the customer experience and all technical components. It provides design expertise for a range of products and services across all of the Lines of Business within BT Group plc. It builds and maintains close relationships with the product management communities, programme & project managers, designers specializing in certain aspects of a solution (such as the Network, Process or OSS/IT) and the operational communities (customer service and network operations). Lead Solution Design activities are within a specific product area, e.g. IP VPN products. Lead solution designers work as part of a project team alongside the platform & product delivery functions. This involves working with the product teams, turning their requirements into solution designs spanning networks, systems and operation, in order for new products to be launched, and in-life enhancements for products to be defined. The bulk of the work is at the concept, feasibility and initial (high-level) design phase of the product launch process, although significant support for down-streaming activities including low level design, test, and operational readiness trial is also required.
