I am the Director of QuestUAV Ltd, a SME operating in Northumberland, UK. We design and manufacture the QuestUAV series of aircraft and provide comprehensive training and support on our UAVs, including custom UAV designs. Fourteen people work at QuestUAV.The unmanned aircraft weigh around 4 to 6 kg and are hand launched. With our new Q-Pod design the modular functionality allows many different payloads and sensors to be carried including mutispectral, infra red, thermal, atmospheric instrumentation and live video. Photogrammetric imagery can provide stunning results that far surpass even the best satellite or standard aerial imagery.QuestUAV is now a mature solution for civilian applications across a number of markets both in UK and globally. QuestUAV operates throughout UK and Europe, South America, Canada and the USA, Philippines, Australia & NZ, Africa, the Mediterranean the Arctic and Antarctic and in a variety of different climates. We have been given a number of awards - the most notable was the outright winner of the North East Business Innovation Award, accompanied at the same time by winner Newcomer of the Year Award, and Small business of the Year finalist.In 2011 I was awarded a Fellowship in the British Institute of Professional Photographers (BIPP).
