After graduating from the University of Ulster in 1994, Nigel commenced employment with Omagh Enterprise Company as a business researcher. Having worked successfully as a freelance designer for some of the provinces largest design agencies, in May 2000 he became one of the founding staff members at Creative Media. Nigel also has vast experience in photography and is Creative Media’s in-house photographer. Nigel’s recent successes include a Gold Design Business Association (DBA) Award for packaging design, five Irish Design Awards, for design effectiveness, for his work in Public Service/Non-profit literature and Consumer Literature and a further Award, again in Consumer Literature, plus 2 awards Consumer Branding and Packaging Design, as well as recently having several pieces selected for inclusion in “The Best of Letterhead and Logo Design Volume 12”, a showcase of the best design work worldwide from the past year. Nigel's newspaper design skills were also honoured with a SIlver CIPR Pride Award. Nigel has also had work featured in Design Week and Popsop, and has been shortlisted for an IDI award for packaging design, and was winner of A' Design awards for Interior Design and Web Design, as well as receiving commendations at the Irish Design Awards in sustainable design and branding, and winning the Irish Design Award in the same year for Interior Design. This was followed up with a international A' Design Awards for branding, website design, educational design and packaging. Successes have continued with 5 Davey Awards (in promotional branding, corporate identity, print collateral and design for print); W3 Gold and Silver Awards; and seeing Creative Media twice included in Design Week's Top 100 Design Businesses in the UK.Nigel is a part time lecturer in Graphic Design at South West College, has in the past carried out design consultancy work for Livewire N.I., and is a Practicing Professionals Jury Panel Member for the European A' Design Awards, as well as a member of the International Design Club and the International Association of Designers
