Although the position might have been described as a Security Guard, The Loss Prevention Director at the time insisted that the position needed to be filled by someone without any security experience. This was down to the fact that he wanted the focus to be investigations into internal fraud and store losses. This was essentially a newspaper warehouse, generally incorporating night shift employment. The newspapers were delivered between midnight and 2am and it was my role to ensure all orders were correctly allocated for each customer prior to dispatch. Then I had to deliver to over a dozen outlets from supermarkets and petrol stations to small independent newspaper shops, prioritising the order for each respective drop according to customer demand.

Was in charge of production across the whole factory, producing chilled and frozen desserts for predominantly FMCG companies. Had to ensure all daily production targets were met and the factory was able to complete targets with the correct and adequate numbers of staff, including daily contacting of Agencies where necessary.
