As part of the Elan graduate recruitment program, I wore a number of hats which were all related to process improvements. I rotated through a number of manufacturing and OH&S project teams to problem solve production and safety issues. These included leading and authoring product process investigations and revising standard operating procedures for new and existing manufacturing lines.During my time with Elan, I updated how safety-critical information was organised and retrieved electronically on site. My vision was that any operator conducting any task would have access to the relevant information in their work area. I was also certified and appointed as the site dangerous goods safety advisor, following examination and certification.I left Elan to pursue a full-time consultancy role in OH&S.
