Fund Management responsibility for this core £500m UK balanced real estate mandate.

Lead expansion of ASI capabilities into multi-sector Real Estate Alternatives (including Build to Rent, Student Accommodation & Retirement Living) for existing and new investment strategies. Undertaking research & analysis of key sub-sectors, identifying underlying investment drivers and future investment performance prospects. Integrating this analysis into financial models to develop new investment strategies/funds for clients as well as assist in sourcing new Real Estate Alternative investment opportunities for existing ASI funds.

Responsible for management of SLI's flagship £1.5billion UK Commercial Real Estate fund delivering above median income and capital appreciation over the short, medium & long term. Managed a team of 6 experienced portfolio managers to successfully drive Fund growth of £1.0billion 2013-16 whilst successfully exceeding performance targets. Oversaw the conversion of the Fund structure into a Property Authorised Investment Fund (PAIF). Set, implemented and continually refined the Fund’s investment strategy covering all transactions and development, sub-sector weightings, asset management initiatives, cash management and monitoring of key fund performance metrics.

# Investment Acquisitions & Disposals : Identification of suitable investment opportunities in line with Fund strategy, conducting full investment appraisal (conventional valuation/DCF) and co-ordination of all due diligence; # Indirect Investment : Identification of investment opportunities/market mispricing with relevant in-house sector specialist for property listed companies and OTC derivatives.# Development and Refurbishment: Identification/financial analysis of suitable sites/market sectors, negotiated purchase/development mechanism and appointment and management of external due diligence team.# Asset Management: Direct negotiation and management of numerous rent reviews, lease regears, deeds of variation, dilapidations settlements & rating appeals. Implementation of cosmetic refurbishment projects and management of numerous letting campaigns/strategies.
