I started my career as a mechanical engineer and ended up as a cognitive scientist and artist!Along the way I worked with material transport engineering, industrial robotics and advanced manufacturing, factory automation, electrical control systems, winery automation and developing a virtual reality operating system, coding in about 10 different languages and robotic toys. I managed my own consulting business in factory automation and SCADA and a virtual reality research laboratory and worked as an executive officer is a vary large research organisation. Then I went back to uni and completed a masters of science degree majoring in Cognitive Science and became a research scientist and team leader studying decision making and cognitive biases. Latest career move was as a Principal Research scientist in psychometrics and data analyst.Since then I have also become a photographer and artist, volunteered in designing and building large installation art and help run a podcast all about Adelaide. Available to publicly speak about science, technology and how human thinking goes wrong. (Allow a few days for the latter topic.)
