About Niharika Rajput, Chrp

I’ve spent the last 10 years diving deep into talent acquisition, where I’ve had the privilege of helping companies grow by finding the right people. My journey started at Collabera Technologies, a U.S.-based staffing firm, where I spent three years recruiting for tech, banking, finance, and healthcare clients. It was fast-paced, challenging, and taught me the art of matching talent with opportunity.From there, I shifted gears and joined a U.S.-based IT services company focused on game development and testing. For two years, I experienced corporate recruiting firsthand, but it was at Western Union where my career took a pivotal turn. As the first recruiter for their new technology engineering center in Pune, India, I had the unique opportunity to build their recruitment processes from scratch. It was an exciting time—hiring for a new center in a 170-year-old company, where every decision had a lasting impact.At Western Union, I wasn’t just filling positions. I led campus recruitment, revamped employee referral programs, and worked as a DE&I ambassador, focusing on increasing diversity, especially for women in tech. I also contributed to a global project transitioning our ATS from Taleo to Workday—learning how technology can streamline the hiring experience.In 2023, my husband and I decided to take a leap of faith and move to Canada. I took a career break to pursue further education, earning a diploma in HR and recently achieving my CHRP designation. Now, as I finish a course in Public Relations, I’m ready and excited to restart my career in Canada.For me, recruiting has always been about more than just filling roles. It’s about building meaningful connections, fostering diverse teams, and creating lasting impacts. I can’t wait to bring these values into my next opportunity in Canada.
