nijdigital is my part-time, freelance love-child. Ever since I was able to pick up a pencil I dreamed of being a designer, specifically designing cover art and logos for bands and artists. Outside of my day job this allows me to flex the creative muscles that I don't always get to use.

– Design and develop web-based interfaces and interactivities for online and blended learning courses, based on client design briefs, wire-frames and storyboards, including but not limited to: look and feel designs, multimedia interfaces, landing pages and graphic elements.– Work closely with the Learning Designers to build complex online applications, interactivities and simulations. – Conceptualise, design and develop; dynamically generated pages, online content, artwork, animations and multimedia objects from original concept to final product for internal/external clients. – Produce, source and edit professional quality photographic, video and audio content conforming to international (W3C) standards using industry software, ensuring; accessibility, re-usability and ease of maintenance and for LMS integration. – Act as key client contact for digital learning services projects ensuring assigned work meets accuracy, quality and deadline delivery requirements. – Provide professional advice to clients and other Pearson staff around the development and design of multimedia objects for educational purposes.

– Updated the Medical School’s website with relevant medical news, information and general page updates along with creation and distribution of EDMs. – Organised, recorded and edited video lectures for the Master of Medicine program to be embedded in the University of Sydney's LMS; ensuring all assets were on-brand.

– Designed marketing material for print and digital applications across the unit; redesigning collateral to the latest corporate brand guidelines where necessary.– Filmed and photographed lectures, workshops and events, interviewing academic staff and students where appropriate. – Styled and updated social media sites and WordPress pages associated with Student Engagement. – Created presentations, infographics, videos and interactive documents for lectures, online resources and the Blackboard learning management system. – Created marketing that directly influenced program interest and registrations for the Swinburne Emerging Leader Program.

– Processed sales and invoiced customer purchase orders.– Assembled bicycles to customer specifications; ensuring all products left the warehouse in full working order.– Responded to customer enquiries via e-mail and telephone.– Photographed bicycles and spare parts for creation of online product listings via website and eBay. – Assessed warranty claims.– Managed the Mojo Bike brand, drove sales by increasing online presence.– Designed customer sizing charts for the KTM Bicycles website.

– Assisted customers with selection of products from a range of road, mountain, commuter, recreational & children’s bikes, cycling accessories, spare parts and equipment. – Assessed technical issues, organised replacement components, servicing and repairs. – Ordered stock, spares and maintained stock levels. – Completed repairs and fitted accessories as required.– Provided exceptional customer service and after-sales care.

– Assisted customers with bike hire, bike sales, cycling accessories, spare parts and components. – Ran EOD reports, completed daily paperwork, stock replenishment and staff training. – Serviced and repaired customer’s bikes, hire bikes and equipment.– Proved competent to manage the store, staff and maintain the company’s commitment to excellent customer service.

– Coordinated the installation, re-location and cancellation of ADSL lines; evaluated site plans to determine optimum location for network termination equipment, ensuring the completion of all projects for business critical sites. – Undertook diagnostic line testing, remote technical support, scheduling and monitoring of field service, network & telecoms engineers. Remote configuration, update and repair of gaming machines, music systems, security & back-office servers, routers and wireless access points. Produce accurate connectivity reports for management, clients and software developers. – Maintenance of the main Software Distribution System (bespoke software database).– Supervised a network inventory of over 6,000 sites and the connectivity of upwards of 10,000 networked machines.– Dramatically increased machine connectivity through rigorous testing, remote diagnosis and continual project work.– Managed the department for six months during a restructure and a merger.– Spearheaded an asset reconciliation project resulting in a rebate of over £0.6m from the company’s telecoms supplier.

Along with the usual duties of writing songs and playing gigs, I was heavily invested in marketing the band; this required the creation and maintenance of third party social media/music sites, writing biographies for the band, creating images for various formats, uploading music and artwork, designing flyers and posters for the promotion of gigs. I was also main contact for promoters and venues; establishing excellent relationships within the UK music scene.
