Sprekersboom is a Tribe of people - speakers - who feed each other with new ideas and support each other.We are convinced that humanity needs to change the way we organise society. We need a fair economy, a different view of our health, better care for nature, a search for our sense of purpose and looking after each other in 'needs and neighbourliness', in other words: staying connected to the people around you. This requires new ideas and courage to talk about them. This is how we open other doors and exciting insights emerge.

Transition Towns is a movement of communities coming together to reimagine and rebuild our world. It is about communities stepping up to address the big challenges they face by starting local. By coming together, they are able to crowd-source solutions. They seek to nurture a caring culture, one focused on supporting each other, both as groups or as wider communities.In practice, they are reclaiming the economy, sparking entrepreneurship, reimagining work, reskilling themselves and weaving webs of connection and support. It’s an approach that has spread now to over 50 countries, in thousands of groups: in towns, villages, cities, Universities, schools.We show that every citizen can do something. That you can make your way of living, working and living less fossil fuel dependent. That you can shape and support a local economy. And you can do this together in your local community by changing behaviour, everyone can counter climate change and bring biodiversity back. ... and that's more fun.
