About Nijo Tan
Hello! My name is Nijo Tan and I am a 3rd-Year ECE M.S Student at UC Davis, specializing in RF & Microwave Engineering. Currently researching under Professor George Rick Branner and Dr. Kelvin Yuk at the Microwave Devices, Antennas and Systems Laboratory (MDASL). I am currently working on GaN Solid-State Power Amplifier Circuit Design for my Master's Thesis. My previous works include Beam-Forming Networks and Conformal Arrays using patch antennas. I am a UC Davis c/o '2022 Graduate with a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Technology Management. My primary career focuses encompassed under RF/Microwave Engineering include RF Module Engineering and Wireless Telecommunication Systems Engineering [Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular (GSM/LTE/5G/6G), IoT & more]. I find the applications of RF products, between manufacturers and end-customers, to be highly intriguing. Engineers truly learn the most through adversity and problem-solving high-complexity solutions which not only can they apply to other engineering problems, but in life as well. A few more of my interests include but are not limited to RFIC Design, Antenna Design, and Test & Measurement. I prospectively plan to pursue an MBA later in my career when the time is right, as I excel in interpersonal skills in customer service and team settings, Technical Sales/Solutions/Marketing Engineering, and Project Management.
Listed skills include Matlab, Leadership, Microsoft Office, Multimeter, and 11 others.
