R&D Senior engineer at Bosch Thermotechnology in Deventer, the Netherlands, focusing on the development and deployment of Computational Fluid Dynamics, combustion and automatic design optimization tools for high-end simulations of heat exchangers, burners and boiler components. My work involves cooperation with many universities (Delft, Eindhoven, Twente, Aachen, Stanford) in government projects or as supervisor of (PhD, MSc, BSc) student research. I am a part-time assistant professor at Mechanical Engineering, TU Eindhoven, and main developer of the CFD and optimization software suite SU2 and a board member of the SU2 Foundation.Specialties: computational fluid dynamics (CFD), numerical modeling and simulation of complex physical (flow) phenomena, combustion, turbulence and dispersed multiphase flow modeling, automatic (adjoint) optimization, supervising and teaching, linux systems, programming.
