The main responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with material suppliers and new and existing customers. Developing plans to achieve production goals is a daily occurrence as well as acting as a liaison between company management and customers to relay product information to best achieve customer goals.

This management position entailed motivating and managing a crew of more than 40 employees to efficiently move up to 58,000 harvested acres of cotton from the field to the gin storage area. This included special detail and care while scheduling, tracking and accounting for save seed and field trials. Also vital was the use of RFID tracking systems to optimize field and yard movement accounting, yard management planning and inventory. Efficient logistics planning made this operation tick.

The main role of the position was to create agronomically-sound fertility plans as well as insect, disease and weed management programs on up to 7,000 acres of cotton, processing tomatoes, pistachios and safflower. The scheduling and maintenance of a drip irrigation program, including the injection of nutrients and insecticides, was also a key responsibility. Another important aspect of this position was the clear communication of instructions and goals to foreman and hourly level employees, including the proper execution and maintenance of a district safety program. Attention to detail was required to design, implement and report on variety trials, other operational and fertility trials and in testing new technologies.
