🔬 PhD Student | Neuroscience ResearcherI am an enthusiastic PhD student passionately exploring the world of neuroscience and genetics, specializing in childhood-onset epilepsy research. I am actively engaged in a project aimed at enhancing the face validity of mouse models associated with childhood-onset epilepsies. Simultaneously, I am investigating the molecular mechanisms underpinning the pathogenesis of mutations in the eEF1A2 gene. This comprehensive exploration provides invaluable insights into the genetic foundations of childhood-onset epilepsy, representing a pivotal step towards the development of precisely targeted therapies. In addition, the enhancement of face validity in these models ensures that current and novel therapies can be accurately assessed and evaluated. With this project, I aim to contribute solutions to the problem of drug resistance in individuals with epilepsy.
