During my time as a Teaching Assistant (TA) in the biology department, I had various direct and indirect teaching responsibilities associated with labs. These responsibilities included lab preparation, writing or grading quizzes and exams, meeting with instructors, other TAs, or other lab staff, preparing reagents and media, setting up classrooms, and organizing cabinets. These tasks were crucial in ensuring that the labs ran smoothly and that students had a positive learning experience.In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I also attended a TA training workshop. This workshop provided me with valuable insights into the role of a TA and how to effectively support student learning. We discussed strategies for engaging students, managing lab activities, and providing effective feedback. The workshop also provided an opportunity to network with other TAs and learn from their experiences and perspectives.Overall, my experience as a TA was incredibly rewarding and provided me with an opportunity to develop my teaching and communication skills. It was inspiring to see students' growth and enthusiasm for the subject matter, and I enjoyed working with instructors and other TAs to create a positive learning environment. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the education of the next generation of scientists and am excited to continue exploring the field of biology.

Working in Dr. Rodrigues's lab, I was involved in an anthracycline drug (Doxorubicin) inducing cardiotoxicity research and the role of the cardiac circadian clock gene and its regulation. The lab focused on understanding how the circadian clock gene regulates the heart's response to Doxorubicin, a commonly used chemotherapy drug that can cause severe heart damage in cancer patients. To investigate this, I performed a range of laboratory techniques, including RNA extraction, cryosection of the heart muscle for immunofluorescence, cDNA synthesis, and RT-qPCR.Throughout my time in the lab, I was also responsible for presenting research papers to my lab members. These presentations were an important opportunity to share the latest findings and discuss emerging trends in the field. They also allowed us to engage in lively discussions and debates, which helped to drive forward our understanding of the complex interplay between Doxorubicin, cardiotoxicity, and the circadian clock.Overall, my experience in Dr. Rodrigues's lab was incredibly rewarding and gave me valuable insights into the research process. I gained a deep appreciation for the importance of rigorous experimentation and data analysis and the need to collaborate effectively with colleagues from various backgrounds and specializations.

As a Medical Detailing Officer at Quest Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., I demonstrated or presented products to healthcare staff, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists.
