Reporting directly to the Group Editorial Business Systems Manager and Director of Editorial Systems managed and developed the role of newly created Editorial Support team providing 24/7 support to 2000+ Editorial and Production users. Liaising with local IT teams and management to deliver training, support and documentation of business systems as well as working with external clients to provide multiple feeds of content for products as diverse as Photosales and the British Library and Lexis Nexis from the Editorial Archive.Internal audit and creation of company datasets relating to publications and production cycles and the creation of central documentation store with Editorial Training team. and the, administration and population of the internal Editorial Support wiki site based on Google Docs and Sites.In conjunction with our software vendors perform evaluation, testing, scheduling and deployment of software releases.Responsibility for administering team member holidays and out of hours support rota.

Initially involved with providing feeds from our advertising systems to recruitment, motors and property websites. This involved meeting with external clients to discuss how content could be provided and repurposed from print to web.Involved in the planning, testing, documentation and deployment when migrating from several different Mac and PC based Editorial CMS systems to a single PC based CMS.Design and implementation of end user environment when multiple sites running physical servers were consolidated to SAN based data centres and virtualised server environment. Managed project responsible for consolidating multiple multimedia archives into a single archive totalling 45m+ assets and available to all users internally.

Employed to liaise between IT department, PrePress and Advertising departments and external advertisers to ensure that advertising carried structured data to allow syndication to our web partners Fish4.Working with internal multimedia department to ensure web based ‘new media’ and print based ‘old media’ developments worked in conjunction with each other.
