• Supervise, train, develop and mentor 3 accountants to consistently achieve targeted organizational goals and ensure all investor reporting deadlines are met timely.• Assist in timely closing of monthly and quarterly fund general ledger reports, including general ledger analysis, variance analysis and journal entries.• Analyze quarterly consolidated GAAP financial statements for investors encompassing 30 funds using Equity method of Accounting.• Interpret and analyze 297 low-income housing properties quarterly trial balances to ensure all necessary GAAP adjustments get recorded in order to properly assess the financial condition of each property.• Work closely with asset managers to gather property level information needed for accruals and adjustments and communicate any inappropriate movement of cash by the General Partner which is not in accordance with the cash waterfall of the partnership agreement.• Prepare and analyze quarterly fund level reserve analysis and annual impairment.• Coordinating and managing audit process for the funds responsible by working closely with the auditors.• As a PeopleSoft super user for the fund accounting group was responsible to collaborate with PeopleSoft software developers in a two-member team for automating Fund financial statements, reserve analysis, bank reconciliations and many different reports to increase organizational efficiency.• Head of a three-member team that works on maintaining the AR system in PeopleSoft for billing and monitoring of SLP fee from approximately 1200 properties which generates $5-$6 million annually. • Ensure that policies and procedures are properly documented and in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley Act and that all financial reports are accurate and in accordance with GAAP.• Manage information exchange between relevant internal departments, asset managers, external auditors.• Lead and participate in numerous special projects and other ad hoc requests by the Controller.
