I am currently working as a Consultant - Waste Advisory in WSP. I am a post graduate from Mysore with an M-Tech in Environmental Engineering. I have conducted numerous waste management, training, and capacity-building. I have worked on a range of environmental projects and has also trained and built the capacity of municipal officials and waste workers in Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Varanasi with respect to solid waste management. Have been involved in a GIZ-funded project NSP India Waste Management, where i am responsible for planning for organising door-to-door IEC to get the maximum outreach, awareness campaigns about source-segregating waste, as well as training and capacity-building programmes for waste collectors, educational institutions teachers, students and Janitorial staff, and ULB officials in the States of Goa and City of Varanasi. Additionally, I am also conducting online workshops for a city network as part of the SecondMuse-funded project “Enabling effective municipal solid waste management in India”. I am also working on a project for Tetra Pak India Pvt. Ltd. that require for primary research to identify the waste cycle of straws that are thrown away with used beverage cartons (UBC).Additionally, I have also been involved in the UNEP-funded project on Marine plastic Litter in Asia and the Pacific. There I contributed in drafting the “State Action Plan for Identified Single Use Plastics” for the State of Bihar along with the officials from Bihar Pollution Control Board.Prior to joining the sector, I have worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Noida, where I was responsible for improving students' subject understanding and mentoring them with environmental engineering projects. I have also guided students on a wide range of environmental projects. I have also worked as an intern at the National Institute of Disaster Management on a project involving climate change and rainfall-related disasters.
