Undertook a project “Analysis of the Build Materials for an axle to find out the areas for Cost Saving”.

My responsibilities included the following:•Development of the ASME club calendar, which was important for us as a club to effectively plan our activities throughout the year. •Ensure that the various portfolios and functions of ASME worked in tandem, contributing to ASME goalsPreparation and signing off on all club-related documents.•Undertaking all the club recruitment drives to enroll members for the Management and Working Committees. I was also responsible for all the planning related to the handing over of the ASME board transfer following their term.•In charge of all events the club conducted, external or internal. For example: We hosted an event called Veritas, which is the club's annual fest, I was in-charge for the entire event from planning to execution.I was the point of contact for any external partnership of the ASME, and I served as the bridge between ASME and the college administration.On the whole, my role as the General Secretary of the ASME Manipal Student Chapter required a good knowledge of people management and time management. It also meant that I had to develop proficiency in tools such as MS Office, particularly Excel. Further, as the General Secretary, I was responsible for ASME’s day to day operations as well as its strategic planning for the long-term future. This resulted in my spending much time with all club members to understand their perspectives for the club. I also spent a good amount of time with the club’s treasurer to ensure that we had enough funds to achieve our goals. I also coordinated with the Sponsorships Head to find more sponsors for the ASME Manipal Chapter. These experiences have given me a lot of exposure to managerial challenges and have provided me with insights on how organizational structures work.

Management Committee Member in PR and Content and, Technical PortfoliosAs a member of the Content Portfolio, I was responsible for writing articles for our Instagram page. These articles were technical in nature and topics that were chosen were those that would help give the common man more insightful information.As a part of the PR Portfolio, we were responsible for communicating with outside entities during events and act as a bridge between club and external partner. As a member of the Technical Portfolio, I was responsible for conducting workshops on various engineering related softwares for the students in the college. I was also responsible for taking part in various technical competitions around the country which were hosted by different engineering colleges. During my term, we participated in IIT Bombay’s Techfest in various categories. During my tenure, we built a Gripper Bot and Line Follower Bot.
