Current*Collaborated with a team of 10 teachers to write authentic and CCSS aligned math assessments using the Depth of Knowledge domains to provide a variety of question types, resulting in assessments that were used district wide at 5 elementary schools. *Modernized math curriculum units to be cross curricular, innovative, and problem based; including interactive online course components, resulting in authentic and culturally responsive learning experiences that led to increased student engagement and averaging 94% student mastery. *Authored interactive digital math materials for all fourth grade math units, including texts, audio, and images aligned to curriculum outcomes, to be developmentally appropriate and engaging for in person and virtual learners. *Researched and implemented new instructional frameworks for science and social studies instruction, including the design thinking model and 5E learning model, to develop updated units that were authentic, hands-on, and collaborative leading to proven increased student engagement and mastery. *Developed a year-long coding curriculum and successfully launched and implemented unit to 100 fourth grade students leading to 95% mastery. *Designed engaging professional development sessions for 35 staff members to educate on new pedagogical technology tools which supported staff to confidently instruct 500 students during virtual learning.*Founded our school’s “Dog Pack” program and used cross-functional team leadership to lead a team of 20 teachers to successfully develop a year long curriculum program targeting student social-emotional learning for 500 students in kindergarten through fourth grade. *Served as team lead, coaching my fourth grade team through the four components of PLC to unpack standards, disaggregate data, develop targeted instructional plans, and monitor student data.
