Responsible for planning, design, and delivery of CA Clarity Solutions that enable clients to streamline their Project and Portfolio Management processes to improve efficiency and performance. Managed end-to-end Clarity functional supporting needs for over 1,000 users while spearheading efforts that focus on building requirements and reengineering key business processes to promote an overall increase in efficiency and data accuracy necessary to support Genentech’s dynamic growth and evolving business needs. • Collaborated with the technical team lead to successfully upgrade Genentech’s project management system from Niku version 6.0 to Clarity version 7.5.2.• Gathered requirements and feedback from users to streamline processes and introduced new standards for managing projects within Clarity to achieve higher data accuracy and effectiveness:- Simplified project work breakdown structure (WBS) to accurately capture project capital expenditure which resulted in millions of dollars in tax savings for the company.- Modified project functional characteristics to fit the business needs.• Built workflow processes to capture current business models and map out strategies for automation. Previous and current initiatives include:- Defined requirements for automating user account and proxy assignment.- Defined requirements for automating project actuals reporting.- Redesigned Clarity timesheet processing procedure to improve timesheet compliance, raising it from a low 70% to a consistent 98% average. • Designed and managed the development of a suite of reports in Business Objects to provide managers visibility into project activities and statistics.• Worked closely with corporate training team to design a Clarity training course and materials that allowed us to train 1,000 current users on new processes and functionalities.• Constructed an online Clarity Service Center that enabled users to receive instructional guides on various Clarity topics and access to tools and tip sheets; therefore, reducing the volume of incidents that get routed to the Clarity support team.
