One of a handful of developers supporting a large number of client applications and services. Responsible for modernizing infrastructure and internal tech processes, a heavy emphasis of which was on automation and efficiency. - Developed method to migrate dozens of existing web sites and services to modern cloud infrastructure - Made use of DevOps methodologies to aid in maintenance and allow for continuous delivery- Modified legacy application to run on stateless servers, allowing for server hot-swapping to eliminate maintenance downtime- Engineered local dev and remote deployment solution using Vagrant for VM management and Ansible for provisioning and app spin-up- Introduced Jenkins as a task runner and developed jobs to integrate with existing systems - Implemented jobs with: Python, Boto, Node.js, AWS CLI, PHP 7, Maven and interfaced with data sources, Slack, Bitbucket, JIRA- Implemented website designs with various template engines: Blade, Twig, Markdown as well as Bootstrap 3 and SASS- Architected secure web hosting environment in AWS, using Ansible to automate environment spin-up and teardown - Services used included EC2, RDS, VPC, S3, ELB, Route53

Served as the sole developer on a small tech team that provided support for an office of approximately 60. Was afforded the opportunity to learn about a variety of modern web topics, including web frameworks, standalone ORMs (Doctrine) and front-end libraries. Responsibilities included:- Provided maintenance and support for a variety of existing web sites and apps, primarily PHP based (Wordpress, Doctrine, Drupal, bare PHP).- Worked with stakeholders to collect requirements for intraoffice workflow apps as well as member facing tools.- Worked through full software development lifecycle to deliver web applications, using cakePHP 3.

· Updated existing pages to HTML 5 using JQuery to create a better user experience.· Coded back-end with PERL on mod_perl in Apache, interfacing with an Oracle 10 DB.

· Maintained and published online issues within website running on Apache in Linux, using a mySQL DB.· Worked with designer to create and implement an improved user experience.
