Assistant Manager
I played a hands-on role in building a boat house, working closely with a 65-year-old master carpenter. I led a team of three less experienced workers, managing and delegating tasks such as raising walls, installing beams and rafters, staining, and carrying wood. Drawing on the skills I learned from a previous summer in construction, I took the opportunity to teach the crew, ensuring we maintained high standards and efficiency on the job site. Through this experience, I gained invaluable skills in management, carpentry, and life, which have deeply enriched my understanding of both leadership and craftsmanship.
