Amplifying the voices of (self-identifying) Women, and BIPOC is at the heart of this change.Hyphen Poetry uses spoken word poetry to challenge the traditional colonial notion of knowledge production. Spoken word poetry is an accessible tool for resistance against colonial practices. It allows us to explore, probe, (un)learn, understand and express complex topics and issues. In doing so, often multifarious emotions can surface. We encourage individuals to get comfortable with the uncomfortable and to work through these emotions. The political is personal and the personal is political, therefore emotions need to be normalised as a valid part of our lived experience.

Nikita is an analyst at Agulhas, where she provides key support to research and evaluation teams, with critical quantitative and qualitative analysis, mapping exercises, methodology design and desk reviews on a range of projects. She also has experience in project management and client management and has been key to the timely delivery of evaluations and reviews within budget highlighting risks with mitigation actions. Nikita has strong client management skills and maintains clear and open lines of communication. I sought to understand how, if possible, blockchain technology could enable refugees to lead more dignified lives prior, during and post forced migrationRefugee resettlement, integration, and conflict Working under the supervision of Esther Meininghaus and alongside Simone Christ, Tim Roing I conducted and presented a comparative case study on Syrian refugee resettlement and integration policies and programmes in Canada, Germany and Lebanon. Further, I assessed conflict experienced by refugees in Canada.I partook in field research by visiting refugee accommodation to learn more about conflict amongst refugees and local communities which posed as a hindrance to local integration.
