In the past 5 years as an Open Source Compliance Analyst, I have served as the primary adviser and subject matter expert on all questions regarding use of open source, including:- Coordinating with business, legal and engineering in providing guidance on complex legal/technical issues- Reviewing distributions of source code for license compliance and potential patent issues- Working with customers on OSS-related questions/concerns- Creating and maintaining policies/processes/best practices and all supporting documentation- Training new employees on use of open source- Navigating OSS issues in code scrubs/mergers and acquisitions
