I am a future Business Analyst professional completing my master’s degree here at The University of Texas at Dallas. This career path was introduced to me during my undergraduate years when I attended a workshop organized by the renowned Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode. The eye-opening program fueled my fascination for Data and Business Analytics. I familiarized myself with R programming and understood how to utilize statistical computing. Moving ahead and identifying patterns in data generated by companies proved to be an enticing glimpse into the potential of combining data science and business studies.An internship with The Sparks Foundation is a highlight that exposed me to real-world data science and business analytics intricacies. The primary objective behind my role and responsibilities was to discern weaknesses in the superstore’s operations and pave the way for resolving said problems, thus boosting profitability. Overall, it was a great introduction to this exciting field.I am most excited to work in the tech industry, I feel the skills I am learning through my coursework will allow me to understand complex business analytical issues and help me solve business problems. After my graduation in May 2025, I plan to work my way into a business analytical role that will teach me how to grow professionally and personally.
