-Mechanical Designer – Use Autodesk Inventor to create 3D part and assembly models of all door systems to support design validation and documentation. Use Microsoft Excel databases to drive Inventor part and assembly parameters to enable quick changes, reusability, and design automation for custom sized manual and automatic sliding door systems.-Drafter – Use Autodesk AutoCAD to create drawings of door systems for quoting and customer approval purposes.

Mechanical Design – Design parts and assemblies for assembly fixtures and fairly simple applications and create SolidWorks models and drawings for those parts. Participate in design review meetings. Receive feedback from others in the engineering department to build design skills.Mechanical Drafting – Use SolidWorks CAD software to create 3D part and assembly models and supporting 2D CAD drawings of new products designed by mechanical engineers.Electrical Drafting – Use SolidWorks CAD to create 3D assembly models and 2D drawings of cables designed by electrical engineers. Make and record requested changes to existing work instructions. Maintain organized library of work instruction files with revision control.Document Procedures – Use Microsoft Word to write test procedures and standard operating procedures (SOP) for production while working with engineers and production management to ensure content conveyed is complete and accurate.Change Requests – Make requested changes to engineering and production documents (models, assemblies, drawings, work instructions, procedures, etc.), using SolidWorks CAD, SolidWorks Composer, SolidWorks PDM Vault, Microsoft Word, Excel, Intuitive ERP, and Task System.Service and Marketing Documentation – Use SolidWorks Composer to create images and video presentations from CAD models for use in service manuals and trade show presentations.

Industrial and Desktop 3D Printer Operation and maintenance; Editing/Creating prototype designs in Pro Engineer and SolidWorks CAD software.

Additive Manufacturing – Repair and use industrial and desktop consumer 3D printers for making prototypes. Research new 3D printing technology and apply that research to design, develop and build custom functioning 3D printers in house. Order, organize and keep stock of materials and supplies for 3d printing prototype parts, repairing machines, and building new machines. Train new team members for the rapid prototyping department.Mechanical Drafting – Use Pro Engineer Wildfire 2.0 and SolidWorks CAD to draft and edit parts and assemblies for customer inventions. Contact software resellers to acquire new, updated software for the company. Prototype Building – Build working prototypes for client projects using a variety of model building skills including sanding, painting, mold making and casting, soldering, and electronic assembly.
