Sail with me, learn from me, listen to me speak, or read my writing, and you will quickly realise: I am as passionate about human nature, as I am about nature itself. 13 years ago I walked away from the typical trajectory for a young adult in pursuit of a deeper purpose: to discover the truth about life and leadership, and have never looked back.Circumnavigating the globe, breaking records, physical exhaustion, emotional turmoil, towering waves, thunderous skies, danger, fear, bravery, discovery.... my first decade of adulthood was busy. I spent my twenties leading diverse teams in the most dangerous environments on this planet, brought everyone home alive, fulfilled, and did something no one had done before. Sailing is, and always has been, a platform for me to explore humanity, understand our relaitonship with the natural world, and discover the truth about what makes an excellent leader. I was particularly interested in how to leverage my feminine instincts and youthful intuition. I am proud to have proved that they are not only an asset, but in fact a means of survival.The winds are shifting, and so is my career. I now split my time three-way: `1. As a professional sailor: I am the founder and skipper of an offshore racing program for 59 North Sailing; I am a womens' ambassador for the luxury performance catamaran brand Outremer; And I work as a private sailing coach, empowering female sailors and helping couples navigate the challenges of life-onboard. 2. As a motivational speaker: I deliver keynote speeches on anything from how to build high performance teams, to sustainability, to entertaining after dinner talks inspiring audiences with stories from the high seas. 3. As an author: I am a monthly columnist for the magazine Yachting World; a monthly contributor to the Grand Large Yachting community; and run my own Substack account.**And a recent update**: Stay tuned for my book to publish! Part adventure memoir, part leadership and self-help guide it follows my career as a skipper and sailor. It is as much a philosophical book about how to navigate oneself through life and relationships, with life-learnings drawn from time spent deep in nature, as it is a practical guide for anyone wanting to build and nurture a high performing team.

Our professional relationship has meandered and adapted to the growth and evolution of the business. I skippered passages on Icebear, their Swan 59. I launched their womens' initiative to reserve two womens' spots on each passage after identifying that the fear of 'being the only woman' was a barrier to entry for women sailing offshore. I managed and editted their online platform, 'The Quarterdeck' for a year, including hosting The Quarterdeck Podcast for several seasons. And finally I found the perfect way to work alongside Andy, Mia, and August: by developing and leading the 59 North Offshore Race Program - a complimentary offering to the current or potential crew of 59 North who want to diversify their sailing experience and accelerate their learning.Together with a 59 North mate, I bring together teams of strangers from all walks of life. We spend a week forming a team, training - for some, learning to sail altogether - and then head out on the startline of some of the worlds' most extreme and infamous offshore races and see how we fair against the professional teams! -

I've launched a women's only training program for Outremer. I write a daily blog for their audience. I run two annual webinar series for women. And I put together couples' workshops and events for the extremely important 're-integration' part of the learning process. How you work and learn together is just as important as working and learning apart, when you have to live on a 50 foot yacht thousands of miles from land!By educating women effectively, and communicating in a way that really speaks to them, I empower the women to step up to the helm. As their confidence increases, so does the enthusiasm for their future life onboard and at sea. -

In October I then led the first all female team in history to finish the Rolex Middle Sea Race.
