Provide vision and direction for education and job training programs designed to empower individuals, develop the local workforce, and build a stronger community. Focus on systems level thinking and cross-sector collaboration. Direct the Compass Youth Program which helps youth and young adults who have withdrawn from high school obtain their High School Equivalency (HISET) and receive trauma informed supportive services. Frequently serve youth who are facing housing instability, food insecurity, or substance use disorder. Provide individualized support through social emotional learning. Focus on Workforce Development; offer clients job training in growing workforce sectors in order to secure living wage jobs. Launched Trades Gateway program to connect people to careers in the trades. Direct a DESE funded Adult Education program in partnership with North Shore Community College. Help adults gain the skills and knowledge needed to achieve their High School Equivalency. Often serving people who are immigrants, refugees, and/or English language learners. Oversee Financial Empowerment programming offering classes and individualized coaching aimed at helping people with budgeting, credit establishment or recovery, and meeting other financial goals. Work in collaboration with the HR department to provide agency-wide trainings to all Action Inc. staff.Focus on community partnerships; serve on the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce Business Education Collaborative, the Regional Youth Prevention Network Advisory Board, and the Cape Ann Youth & Young Adult College and Career Collaborative. Served as the Chair of Gloucester’s Re-Opening Youth Jobs & Internships Task Force.

Lead the US Board of Directors of a Ugandan child sponsorship organization focused on empowering youth. Through providing food, clothing, school fees, mentoring, and leadership development, we are now graduating professionals such as doctors, lawyers, and business men and women from the least educated district in Uganda. Guide strategic planning efforts in order to ensure organizational sustainability and implementation of the mission. Spearhead fundraisers and grants, increased income by over 150% while serving as Board Chair. While serving as Board Chair, doubled US staff and we opened a second site in Uganda. Developed partnership with Rockport Rotary Club, leading to famine relief efforts as well as grant partnerships with Rotary clubs in Uganda. These grants have led to a clean water well being dug in a remote village as well as a full kitchen and meeting room renovation at the Village2Village main site in rural Uganda. Successfully spearheaded efforts to officially become a 501c3 nonprofit organization.Lead the Board Executive Committee and Strategic Planning Committee, also serve on the Grants Committee.

Design vaporizer & e-cigarette shadowboxes and informational binders designed for medical providers and educators to share with youth and their parents. The goal is for youth and parents alike to better recognize and understand vaporizers and become better informed about their health risks.This work has received accolades from Governor Charlie Baker and Secretary of Health & Human Services, Marylou Sudders.

Directed two Teen Centers, including all programming, collaborations, events, and youth leadership groups. Increased programs and collaborations by 500%.Directed a highly rated summer day camp on 50+ acres, overseeing 200+ weekly campers and 50 staff; increased camper participants by 18%. Managed a budget of $750,000; cultivated major donor relationships leading to individual donations of over $90,000; helped procure grants of up to $625,000. Spearheaded regional substance use prevention efforts, facilitating community collaborations between government, business, and non-profit sectors using evidence based initiatives.Facilitated Ipswich Aware and Be Healthy Beverly Substance Abuse Prevention Coalitions as well as the Gloucester Youth Council. Served on Beverly and Gloucester Wellness Committees, the Substance Abuse Prevention Committee, and the Mass Opioid Prevention Collaborative.

Directed the Salem YMCA's Explorers Camp, managing all licensing, staffing, and programs. Worked closely with DCF in order to provide best services for opportunity youth.Oversaw 21 Century Grant in collaboration with Salem Public Schools- brought students to the YMCA weekly for innovative educational engagement such as media production, salsa dance, hip hop, theater, drumming, etc. Oversaw 15 programs, 300+ students, and 20 staff.

Served on the leadership team transitioning a small YMCA into a state-of-the-art community center which is in public-private partnership. Lead efforts to develop facility programs and schedules as well as planning and implementing hiring fairs designed to hire 150 new staff in a two month period. Coordinated and advised teen leadership and community service groups such as Teen Leadership Board, Earth Service Corps and Youth & Government. Successfully brought these groups to the point where they were thriving and at max capacity. Directed regional teen summer camps; trained staff and planned curriculum and daily trips.Developed experiential education based outdoor programming based on social change leadership model.Developed strong and strategic partnerships with local schools and non-profit organizations.Organized multiple community events; the most notable of which served 2000 community members, where I oversaw 150 volunteers.
