My research and industry experience have given me hands-on experience with innovation. Through designing experiments, analyzing data, and using that to determine where to go next within a project, my research has been invaluable to my development as an engineer. As an R&D engineer intern, I gained hands-on experience with the design control process. I developed a test method for syringes to measure flow rate accuracy, complying with ISO 7886-2. I developed a test fixture for the transfer of fluid and developed an Excel macro to automate the data analysis of all test cases, accounting for variable sampling frequency, test duration, and analysis periods.Upon completing my Biomedical Engineering M.Eng. degree in May 2025, I plan to enter the medical device industry to continuously improve medical treatments and procedures to improve patient's quality of life.

Undergraduate ResearcherUniversity At Buffalo School Of Engineering And Applied Sciences Sep 2020 - Dec 2023Buffalo, New York, United StatesAs an Undergraduate Researcher, I took the lead of my own project team focusing on the effect of low dose laser treatments, termed photobiomodulation, on red blood cells. Using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images, I analyzed changes in the cell membrane. I also evaluated the cause of these shape changes using a variety of assays and inhibitors. In order to decipher the clinical relevance of these treatments, I worked with other students to develop a flow cell device to evaluate changes in laminar and turbulent flow. This subproject involved the use of ImageJ to analyze the images and videos taken. -
