I am interested in moving from a classroom teacher to a college professor. I have had many different teaching experiences that have helped me decide this is the best path for my career. I have had the opportunity to teach in a Parochial School, Charter School, and two different Public Schools. During my twelve years in education, I have worked with ten different principals. Each of these people have left lasting impressions on me and have helped mold me into the teacher I am today. I have a wide range of leadership experiences I have developed strong opinions about how to positively lead a school. I want to be the type of professor that helps future educators find and grow their passion for teaching. During my twelve years of teaching, I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade and Third Grade. I also had the opportunity to loop from Kindergarten to First Grade. I have taught Chinese children on a completely online platform. This experience has given me a different perspective on education and how it differs in different parts of the world. As a teacher I have served on various curriculum teams, I was a member of the hiring team, teacher sponsor for Student Council, piloted new curriculums, tutored students for the MAP test, Student Teacher Mentor, and served as an educational trainer for various programs and assessments. I enjoy being a leader in my school want to share my experiences and knowledge with the next generation of educators.
